We would like to welcome you to the Little Log Cabin family. Our preschool program is designed to meet the needs of your 18 month to 5 year old child. We offer a hands on, child friendly curriculum that will provide opportunities for your child to grow and learn. Our comfortable, fun and friendly environment is filled with a variety of materials and learning experiences that will address all the areas of your child's development.

Children from all ages from 18 months to 5 years old learn through direct interactive experience. The Little Log Cabin Learning Academy provides a learning experience needed to acquire knowledge and skills required to grow. We believe that they learn through play and activities that allow for autonomy, control and through repetition as necessary to master the skills and to develop their own instincts.

We offer routines and activities in an environment that builds each child's self esteem which creates a positive atmosphere full of fun and challenges. We also provide an enriched, safe and loving environment for each child to learn at their own speed.

Many families today have very busy schedules. We realize that these families need assurance that their children are receiving quality care and the proper supervision. The Little Log Cabin Learning Academy allows children from working families to be supervised by a professional staff while enjoying intellectual, social, physical and cultural interactions with their peers.

The LLCLA strives to provide a quality childcare program that is safe and accessible to the greatest number of families in the effort to strengthen them, as well as our community. The program has a mix of activities that are structured through lesson planning and activities decided upon for the children.

Parents and children are invited to share ideas for lesson plans. Children are offered a variety of age appropriate activities that include: arts and crafts, active group games, individual time to explore, field trips, guest speakers and music.

We hope the transition into our program is easy and comfortable for you and your child. We look forward to working with you throughout your child's stay with us.

We believe that the success of our program lies in the quality of our staff. Each member of our staff is carefully selected based on his or her experience, education, character, talents and interpersonal skills. All our staff have met strictly enforced state standards as well as meet the Maine Department of Health and Human Services Division of Licensing and Regulatory Community Service Programs. Also, each staff member must pass reference and background checks. All staff are first aid and CPR certified.
